After a lot of research and triple checking all my information, I was able to piece together this Trading Guide for those of you who have been asking about how to Trade your babies. First and foremost, it is going to be easier and much safer to complete your trades if you have an IM source in common with the person you are going to trade with. The three big IM programs available are AIM, Yahoo, and MSN. If you don't have one of these, don't worry! Trades can still be done over e-mail almost as well. In step 2 the links that show are duds, however they can be edited with the information provided to become active links for actual trading purposes. Also, thanks to Witchie for pointing out a few errors, changes have been made and you're on your way to a successful trade! So, let's get started then ... 1. First, make sure the person you are trading with, along with yourself if getting something in return, has room on their scroll to accept the trade. This means that you cannot have more than 3 Dragon Eggs and 3 Dragon Hatchlings. Though you are allowed to have up to 5 Dragon eggs at once on your scroll, you will not be able to pick up more than 4. The 5th is only allowed if it has been bred. 2. Once both of you have the room, you will need to decide who is going first. You will need the Dragon's 4 digit code in order to pick it up. To get this 4 digit code simply view the Dragon Egg/Hatchling you wish to trade over. The http in the navigation bar is what you need to look at. It should look something like this - http://dragcave.net/view/#### When giving the code to trade, you will need to change the address from "view" to "abandoned" for the other person. So the address should instead read - http://dragcave.net/abandoned/#### 3. After giving this link to the other person, tell them to open the page, which should tell them something like "The requested URL /getdragon/#### was not found on this server." Once the page is open, wait for them to give you the ready. They should immediately start refreshing the page. 4. Once you get the que saying they are ready, Abandon the Dragon! As long as they have been continuously refreshing the page since telling you they where ready, the chances they will get the Dragon Egg/Hatchling will be high! *** NOTE *** There is always the chance that you/they might miss picking up the dragon during the trade for various reasons. If this should happen, please, be a good sport and still trade the Dragon you said you would. Hope this Guide helps! Happy Trading!
Re: Dragon Cave - The Official Thread - Ugly Von - 14-04-2009 08:45 PM Thanks for the guide Majick! I'm happy! My old RL BFF (im still her friend, we just don't live near each other) has a lot of rares, and she said she would breed and give me a silver and a gold! Here is her scroll:http://dragcave.net/user/Earth%20Gurl Re: Dragon Cave - The Official Thread - Majick - 14-04-2009 09:03 PM Oh wow. She has a Valentines Day Dragon :o Re: Dragon Cave - The Official Thread - Witchiebunny - 14-04-2009 09:12 PM Also, on the subject of trades: Try not to do it anywhere near the top of the hour, when more people are haunting dragcave for the egg drops. Try to time it anywhere between :20 and :45 to increase your chances of a successful trade. Re: Dragon Cave - The Official Thread - Majick - 14-04-2009 10:10 PM Ah, a very good tip. Thanks, Witchie hun! Re: Dragon Cave - The Official Thread - b-rad - 14-04-2009 10:14 PM Thats what I thought ![]() I am going to trade Anna a paper egg
