I believe it's also in the FAQ back on page 3.
It'll be under the "Actions" link.

They all have that "Actions" option, even as eggs.
Again, refer to the FAQ on page 3 to learn more about the Actions tab :3

Plus, I get this error when I try to adopt an egg
"Try as you might, you can not seem to find the egg you are looking for in the abandoned area. "

That means someone has grabbed it before you.
Also, if you're seeing the "you pick up the scroll labled "usernamehere"" that means you're not on YOUR actual scroll. You will only see the "Actions" link available when you're on YOUR scroll, and you need to be logged in to your account, to see this as well.
