Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - Cassie - 14-05-2009 11:46 AM LOL, you guys can actually tell to the week/day when yours is coming. Wish I could be so lucky. ![]() (14-05-2009 12:07 AM){dÉ}ÉÉ´É´É. link Wrote:Does she wear mom jeans? Occasionally. And worse. Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - Majick - 14-05-2009 12:21 PM dateline= Wrote:link=topic=5894.msg236438#msg236438 date=1242298011] It's an old trick that almost works every time (barring that you don't have some sort of problem that would make your cycle awkward, like my sister) INCLUDING the day you start as Day 1, count 28-35 days. That is when you can next expect your period. 28 Days is the norm, but stress and anything else could delay it, so always add those extra few days JUST to be safe :3 It's a trick they taught us in High School Health class, actually. Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - Cassie - 14-05-2009 12:43 PM See, I can't rely on things like that, because my cycle is as random as this forum is. Sometimes it's two weeks apart, the next it's two months. =\ Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - lilia2055 - 14-05-2009 01:12 PM it gets better if u take the pill. i know exactly which week i'll get mine. and it takes away most of the pain. Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - Cassie - 14-05-2009 01:52 PM Do you have to go to a Doctor to get the pill... cos I don't much fancy talking to a Doctor about my 'lady days' [saw that on Everybody Loves Raymond this morning ] lol. I hate Doctors all together. My old Doctor was a mad act. He used to have a mobile [cell] phone, and when it rung, he said hello before he actually like, pressed the answer button and put it to his ear. And once, I came in to talk about my strange eating habits, and he weighed me and found out how tall I was, and then said goodbye and forgot to like actually, do the session [the height & weighing thing was just to find out my BMI]. So... yeah. {mellow} Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - lilia2055 - 14-05-2009 03:12 PM you have go to see a doctor, 'cause u can only get when he subscribes it for u (was that the right word?). luckily my doctor is pretty normal and i've been seeing him since i was like 8 or something; and in belgium girls under 21 get the pill for free so i have been getting it for free. it helps promote the pill i supose; over here though the doctor doesn't have to tell yer parents when u go see him without them (i think, my mom went with me 'cause she doesn't mind that stuff) if i had known that the pill made my period this much easier i would've start taking it a long time ago. Prescribes ^^ lol But yeah, you do need to see a doctor. I went to Planned Parenthood to get my pills, they're usually cheaper and the doctors there are all really normal, and almost always women, so you don't need to feel to uncomfortable. I know I was worried when I first went because I did NOT want some strange man looking at my womanly bits. Plus, if you don't have medical insurance, they will work payments for you so you don't have to pay it all at once, too. Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - lilia2055 - 14-05-2009 03:32 PM everyone here has medical insurance. and he didn't look at my intimate parts. he just took a sample of blood and my bloodpressure and thats it and like i said tis free here. and even when i turn 21 i'll still only have to pay about 3 ⬠(about 3 dollars i guess) for a box with 3 months worth of pills. the first month of taking them was hell though...
Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - Majick - 14-05-2009 03:36 PM I guess they do things different there ^_^ Here they actually do an exam, take a swab sample and check for cancers and other abnormalities. They don't take blood samples, at least not at the Planned Parenthood places. I've never been to an actual like ... Medical Insurance OB-GYN because I only had Medicaid (which, typically if you have that Doctors will treat you like poo) so I just went to Planned Parenthood, where the insurance type or even lack of insurance didn't matter to them. You're treated well either way. Re: The Official Girl Talk Thread! - lilia2055 - 14-05-2009 03:46 PM well health care is different here. when i go see a doctor, i have to pay about 22 dollars and then i take that paper to my "ziekenkas" (sorry couldn't find english word) and they pay me back about 16 dollars. and since everyone has to have a healthcare (tis a law or something), doctors will not threat u differently over here. america sucks when it comes to that kind of stuff. |
