So um I want to "move" part of my family in another house, by using the computer
and so i tried it and i couldnt control the rest of my family in the house that i originally started in
and um so like i quit without saving and idk
like when you move part of ur family to an empty lot, will you be able to control the rest of your family
or does it create another saved game for the rest of the family or what

You can only control one household at a time. If you want to divide up a household then you can move some of them out in 'edit town' mode or you can use the phone/computer to have them 'move'. However then you need to choose whether to stay and play the original house or switch to a different household.
This would be better in the Sims section than in General, non?
