I was wondering if someone could help me.
I just recently got my The Sims 2 Double Deluxe computer game. And when I tried to install it, it would get to 70% and a error would come up. So I closed it and tried it again and another error showed up at 41% this time. So I closed it and tried to install it again and another error showed up but this time at 12%...I don't know what to do..

This is what it says in the window that pops up.
A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file
'E:\Base\TSData\Res\Movies\Games\SSX\ssx_P2LOSE.movie' from the media.
Do you want to retry to copy the file,or cancel the installation?
I have tried to copy the file and same thing happened.

Is your computer up to date (drivers and all)?
What about the disk? Is it clean?
Where is it from?
Does your computer meet the specs?

Everything is up to date
Disk is clean
and we got it on amazon..and it was like new..
computer meets the specs
My brother thinks it's the disk because it's not going past 5% now

Do you have any viruses?
How about virus protection? If so, turn it off and try.

No we don't have any.
It just stops a certain points and now it's just stopping at 5%. We think it's a problem with the CD
