Plurk, anyone use it? - matt - 25-03-2009 12:45 PM

Just stumbled across Plurk. It's like Twitter, but ever so slightly different. It's odd yet kind of cool at the same time.

Feel free to add me as a friend if you want. I'll try to use Ping.fm to update both of my feeds at once, although I'll need to find a decent iPhone app for it first.

Anyway, enough geekness from me today... {wizard}

Who comes up with these names? Seriously, they sound so random.

Anyhoo, I've never heard of it. I'm curious...

Plurk... Twitter... I think they both have suggestive names...  {glare}

Anyway, not enough people I care to follow use Plurk. For example, a lot of celebrities/YouTube stars/whoever use Twitter, because I think it's simpler. I must say though, Plurk's website has MANY more features than Twitter, like the timeline, karma, and the "is/likes/wonders/feels/thinks" drop down box.

Plurk has more features, but Twitter has a wider audience.

EDIT: Plus, Twitter has better support for third-party applications, like TwitterFox or twhirl. Plurk's API does not allow such.

Never heard of this site before it does look interesting though.

I rarely even go on Twitter XD
I use Facebook and MSN more now a days.

Perhaps this isn't the place to ask, but I'm confused about the suggestive names. Anyone care to explain as long as it isn't too dirty?

I probably shouldn't for the youngins' sake.
