I have only seen sims eat only
the only thing that they would drink would be coffee and water.
why can in TS3, drink soda, fruit juice, orange juice, etc.?
Or at least have something to drink in their tables?

Since TS2 were able to make juice and coctails with Seasons EP and a nectar bar came with Freetime, I don't see why they aren't able to in TS3. They have fruits and vegetables from the base game, so I guess they will have drinks. {yes} I don't know. It hasn't been mentioned before.
Not from what I read, tho.

in TS2 they can also make "Protein Shakes" ... I think that came with Free Time also.
