I'm new to the Sims pc games and I've been playing on my laptop.  I find the game very difficult to navigate with the laptop controls. Does anyone have any tips for me?  Do you use a USB mouse when playing?  Would a mouse make it easier?

I've been playing the sims for a year and 8 months now with a laptop. You could buy a USB mouse if you want, I don't need it myself so I guess you just need to get used to it. That's about it I guess...  Tongue

Sorry I'm not much help. XD I suggest you try to get used to it so you wont want to use/buy a mouse all the time.

i like having a mouse when i'm playing on my laptop - so i can use my right hand on the mouse and my left fingers on the 0 1 2 3 buttons for the time controls

That's what I do with the laptop pad 0_0. hehe I just put my right hand on the pad and the arrows and my left hand on 0,1,2,3

i use the number pad because that has the 0 close and so my hands wont be criss-crossed

i use a USB mouse for my laptop. it does make navigation much easier.
