I'm going skiing next month! Don't know why I made a topic about it but does anyone else like skiing? (or snowboarding?)

I love skiiing, I've been to Chamonix (French Alps) a few times which is a great place to go. Although I'm not so good with heights so I prefer the wide slopes!!
I've tried snowboarding and it's good fun, but you spend most of the time on your bum!

I'm going to Ruapehu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Ruapehu) with my school.
We had a choice between skiing and snowboarding but I can't be bothered trying to learn how to snowboard.

So I've just come home and the mountain was closed the whole time. So I didn't end up skiing. Just hung out in the lodge and in Taupo.

Lucky! I've never skied/snowboarded in my life. Mainly because I live in a place where it never snows. When we lived in Virginia, though, it presumably snowed alot but I was 3 ahaha

The weather is a big slur over here. Just cold and hot. Around March when the weather is supposedly Springish every where else, it's TERRIBLE here. DUST DUST DUST. Like you have to have your windows closed all the time otherwise you'll just keep coughing.

It's pretty much rainy here all the time except for summer. In summer it can get quite hot and dry.
