Looking out of the window at the snow swirling around. So pretty. So cold! Makes me feel quite sleepy.

Wondering where's all this snow they keep talking about. Today was actually a little warmer than yesterday, as was yesterday evening compared to the night before. It's also very still, so I don't see where this blizzard we're supposed to be getting hit with is going to come.

I think your share of the snow is in Wales, Minty! They seem to be getting a tonne.

It's really cold here now and the wind is making the snow that landed here drift around. When I ventured out of the office at lunchtime it was all blowing into my face and I ended up eating a few flakes and then snorting some! Instantly frozen nose.

Right now I'm thinking a glass of Talisker and an early night is in order.

Good call on the Talisker! Something I developed a taste for after I kept on winning free bottles of the stuff.

It's now very cold uphere, but apart from a few dandruff flakes, no real snow - yet.

Fourth cup of tea of the day, down the hatch!

You have free Talisker? Marvellous! I'm more of a brandy drinker normally but if whisky is needed then Talisker's my firm favourite.

I'm trying to catch up on all these TV shows I have recorded. There's stuff going back months (or years) and the box has started crashing so it's time to get stuff watched. Have finished series 2 of 'The Hour', now working through 'Parade's End', which seems a rather strange programme.

Preparing to venture outside. It has been snowing all day and from the look of the amount accumulated on the fence, I'd say we have about three inches of snow, maybe more. So I shall wrap up warm and see if I can get down the road for dinner at the pub, which will hopefully be quiet and warm.

Why don't you get a projector screen? Or view it through the TV? Don't they come with "to TV/VDU Screen" sockets nowadays?

It's snowing pretty heavily up here, but it was raining for an hour before, so it's not lieing TFFT! Had relatives on the phone yesterday trying to wangle an excuse to come up & got told "nope, sorry, have the cold, goodnight!". Just because their area of the country is the coldest right now (Cambridgeshire) they want to come up here so they don't have to pay to heat their place up properly to stop themselves freezing to death (yes, they do this all the time. Moment it gets a bit cold, they take a road trip to somewhere warmer & leave the central heaving on just enough to stop the pipes freezing). What a bunch of jessies!

Right now I am trimming candle wicks. And thinking that Minty's relatives are all nesh. Biggrin

If they do turn up you could just cough on them and then they'll leave, as nobody would want your alarming chest lurgy I'm sure. Are you feeling any better by the way?

Maybe Ollie's dad just fancied silver walls? Wonder what they are going to project onto their silver screen?

We painted the wall silver because:
1. the wall needed painting anyway.
2. My sister was complaining that dad needed a feature wall.
3. because (don't quote me on this) I think that the paint is good for reflective qualities which I believe makes the quality of the projector better.
I must say that projectors are good if you have the right place to put it because you get just as good quality of a normal TV, but for nearly half the price.
Anyway right now i'm enjoying a gaming session of the sims before going back to school tomorrow.
