It's good that you are doing the research. Better than realising too late that you haven't pursued the necessary qualifications or work experience or whatever is needed, which seems to happen to great swathes of young folk over here.

Right now I'm resting my hands after an afternoon of moderate improvement at Little Big Planet. I gripped the PS3 controller too tightly and have given myself RSI. But I fell off far fewer platforms today, partly because of my improved skills and partly (mostly) because my brother would get his sackboy to jump first, then when mine jumped across he would grab hold to stop me plummeting to my doom. World's most patient brother, that's him!

Waiting for the computer to cool down.....

It gets ridiculously hot in Bootcamp - the computer's fan turns on, for heaven's sake, that never happens normally! Poor old Windows seems to have a fever and be burning up. Perhaps it is the 18870 updates that it installed yesterday (real number!). Absolutely ridiculous.

I'm still off sick (it has now been nearly a week!) so thought I'd relax and play Sims for a while. But naturally the game crashed, perhaps just because it was hot.

So once I finally got Sims up and running today I decided to check out Appaloosa Plains (have a feeling I did not spell that right, never mind) as I had never played it. Three things that caused me alarm:

1. So many routing errors because sims get stuck under one of the big mountains. Even if you reset them they end up back under there. So now I know that you can build relationships with your colleagues by talking to them during work hours, even if they are absent due to being trapped beneath a mountain range. Good stuff.

2. ErrorTrap throwing out a billion errors upon load-up due to some problem with a "moon-dial", which I presume is something to do with Supernatural EP. I must hunt down that pesky dial and destroy it.

3. Most frightening of all, I let my sim get knocked up today and when she changed into her maternity outfit she chose a jumper with a pattern of feathers (!) along with red leather trousers. I mean, if you wouldn't normally choose leather trousers, how likely are you to switch to them during pregnancy? I am going to vote 'not very likely'. I suppose EA might have an explanation for this perplexing choice of ensemble, I doubt it would be coherent or rational.
