Oh dear, why?!

Sunburn? Exhaustion from swimming exertions? Jelly-fish sting?

Sunburn. While at the beach I did notice a poor girl got stung by a jellyfish.

Crumbs, poor you. I burn very easily and have every sympathy for your plight.

And poor jellyfish sting girl! The advice used to be to urinate on the sting. Now they say that you shouldn't do that because it can activate stinging cells on the skin. So I hope that in addition to being stung, she didn't have a load of helpful people pissing on her.

Plus you know how it is when you need to pee for a purpose (like a doctor's sample) and you can never do it! Think I'd take my chances with the hospital - once the venom's in your system, what's happening on your skin's the least of your worries!

Wasn't there a first aid bay at the beach? I thought Australian beaches had to have these on account of all the stingy, bitey creatures swimming in its waters or scuttling around the shores?

New year means new theatre excursions. Or at least it does if you are me. And I am me.

Tonight I will be indulging my love of murder stories by going to see Strangers On A Train. I will admit that I am slightly over-excited about it.
