sims 1 problems, cant play

Hi: I just installed SIMS Complete on my computer. I don't play it my wife does. I installed it with McCafee antivirus active on the machine. It crashed the computer. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with McCafee shut off. It now runs ok after I click off two error messages that I don't understand. It will only run with McCafee disabled. Does any one know how to run it with McCafee running. I wouldn,t be able to let my wife go out and get anything related to SIMS,
