That was exactly the same with me.
If I'm correct, my homes were just a small building with a mirror, buffet, buttler, and a bed. reason? it was only there to get my sims points up, but I never bothered with their health status, because I moved them back into the bin and into the house again with full happiness, energy, etc and sent them off to Stardom!

It got boring later, but trying to make my sims live normal and famous was too hard.
