Yes, I agree, it's not needed. But for people seeking religion in the game, maybe think about this - remember they said that users can expand the world just as much as an EP could? Maye in the future, someody will make something that hovers about religion.

I just feel... that religion is not going to be in the game. Not that I have anything against it, but I am sure you have read many times the reasons why it won't be in the game.

i'm sorry if i came off offensive that was just my opinion
from my point of view religions is about belife (what else if not that?)
in my opinion people belive in god or what ever else people believe in because they belive it can help them
i don't thinkreligions can help our sims in any sort of way (if there is please correct me) so there is no point in adding something so contrevercial to the game if it does't have any possitive outcomes
religious people who currently play the sims won't not play the sims 3 if there will be no religions but there is a risk that not religic people, atheists or people who believe in religions that won't make it into the game (and we all know that if there will be religions some religions would be left out) will not buy the game

Incorporating religion of any sort into The Sims is a horrible idea. Religion and politics are the two things which cause the most controversy in the world today, and people want them both in the game..?

Besides, suggesting that they "just add a few religions" just makes matters worse. No matter how many different religions they include, someone's always going to get offended.

That's what most of us have been saying, it's to controversial, we realise this. I agree with what you said. I know personally that it will never happen, but I am aware just because I don't have a religion that other people do care about this sort of thing because it is a huge part of their lives. We musn't be so selfish. If somebody is really wanting religions, maybe a user could create one.

I didn't mean you in particular, Shenannigoats, I hope you didn't take that the wrong way. Smile

All I meant is, religion is important to some people, and many try to fling it out of the picture just because they don't want it, because they are not religious. I am not religious, but as I went to a Catholic school when I was younger, I do know the extremes religions come into people's lives. So what I suggest is, EA did say that users can expand the world just as much as an EP. So perhaps a user could make some kind of religous based set?

I've got no problem with it being a user-created mod (that way, it's entirely optional), I just don't want it in the base game. It'd upset a lot of people.
