Hush, Hush and Wicked Lovely
Anyone read either of these books?

Hush, Hush, I was scared it was gonna be just like Twilight, but it wasn't at all. It was a million times better. We're talking angels, not vamps. And not in a gay, ooh girly angels way or anything. Totally bad-ass, black-winged angels, lmao. Seriously, it was quite dark. A lot of attempted murder and weird games going on in this. And it's not a soppy romance like most. I mean, it involves two character who are sort of romantically linked, but they're not actually together or anything. That's what I liked about it, no 'I love you' or constant making out throughout the whole thing. The whole thing is very detailed and lots of nice twists. I love Patch and Nora. =]

Crecsendo is the next one Smile

I'm still reading WL but I love it! This one regards faerie culture as opposed to angels. =P
Seeing as most fo you are guys I doubt you'll ever read this one, sadly. So I wont comment anymore, unless one of you have actually read it. =]

It's funny, it's not girly or anything, despite it being about fairies [but Hush, Hush is all about Angels, sort of... you'll have to read it to get it, and that's not girly at all] but the cover makes it look that way. The author was voted 'most likely to end in jail' when she was at school, put it that way. Tongue

Re: Hush, Hush and Wicked Lovely
I knew nobody would like WL, just because the cover looks too girly.

But read Hush, Hush, seriously. The main character goes as far as dying at one point. =P

Really? But does he come back to life? Because if he does, that doesn't count. Big Grin

Re: Hush, Hush and Wicked Lovely
*She. Well it's told from Nora's point of view. But Patch plays a massive part. He's an arrogant piece of crap at the beginning, putting it nicely. Infact, he's an arrogant piece of crap throughout the whole thing. But you just get used to it.

The main characters in the book are Nora, Patch, Elliot, Jules and in some ways, Vee, although she's only Nora's best friend and isn't exactly a huge focus character or anything, but she helps move the story along I guess.

Nora does die, yes. But yes, she is brought back to life. =P
People aren't who you think they are though. Don't trust any of the characters tbh, if you do read it. =]

I liked how you couldn't always tell what parts of the story were mind games and what was real. Like, at one point she's falling off a rollercoaster and then she's not. One point there's this guy in a ski mask attacking her through her car window, the car is wrecked, then it's not. It didn't make sense until the end.

Someone's trying to kill her, and you think you know who it is... but you don't =P

This looks interesting, the covers look good.

You can often judge a book by its cover Tongue
