I'm wondering what the 'walk of shame' involves in this context, or do we really want to know Shocked

Listening to Killing Joke's new album. I can't believe how much new music I've bought this month - more than I've done in about the last five years combined! Listeningtomusic

Bobert, this is the man that used to be in charge of New Zealand's music curruculum in schools! Scary thought, eh? Omg

So glad they've softened down their music instead of all that Industrial sounding crap (that's not a tune, that's just a noise) and sound like their old selves again, atmospheric, dark and wonderful. I still love "European Super State" from the last album so much.

Haha, don't worry, I didn't do anything remotely naughty. It's just looks people give you when you're walking home in the morning wearing the clothes you had on when you left, ya know sunglasses and shorts.

That music is just awful. Confused

RE: What are you doing right now?
I've been reading TMN:

Quote:Last time we mentioned Sims Forums, the place was pretty quiet
again, and we were worried that WaffenThinMint – the prime mover behind
their pretty impressive overhaul and turn around in fortunes over the
last two months – may have been on the verge of telling them to stuff it
thanks to Cororon and Earth Mama pissing in his lager and calling it
tops.

I've had and have no intention to do that.

Quote: To be blunt, as most of them were merely posting in the forum games
section and little else, this had all the hallmarks of Cororon repeating
one of Comrade Rich’s old favourite wheezes when they were running up
front forums: getting people to post any old crap to maintain a pretence
of activity in the hope real members would come along – never a
strategy that has worked for any other beleaguered Simming forum in the
past.

I've had and have no intention to do that.

Quote:So when Cororon was then openly recruiting people for Simpletons – the other forum she moderates for and certainly not needing new members – how the hell did she reckon those few regulars at Sims Forums
were going to take it, least of all Minty, who we wouldn’t have blamed
for a second for thinking ‘why am I bothering trying to turn around a
site for people telling newbies to go elsewhere behind my back?’

I became a moderator here without my explicit wish to be one. I can recruit people openly for any forum as much as I like, and I don't have to ask admins on the other forums I'm on if it's ok. Maybe I shouldn't have posted here in this thread about that we had fun in the Simpletons chatbox. That's the only mistake I can see that I have done.

Quote:Incidentally, the claim that Vidkid20 made a new account at Sims Forums because Cororon, Pengy and LRM09 had persuaded her to simply isn’t true. Vidkid20 had been a member of Sims Forums long before PurplePenguin, LRM09 or any of the other part-timers from Simpletons
had joined (under a different name) – over a year in fact – using the
account simply to PM others, but was obliged to sign up again when her account was one of the thousands cleared out when Sims Forums disposed of all the spambot accounts that had been lying in their system since the forum started back in March 2008 (over 30 000 according to WaffenThinMint!).

Of course I knew that she had another account before, and I said it in my post that she made a new account? I never said we persuaded her to re-join. We didn't. She wrote "Well I use to have account here, but it got deleted. I actually don't
mind since it was a totally different user name. Anyway Catz has been
telling to join here. Shout out to Cor, Catz, Pengy, anybody from
simpletons, and WaffenThinMint."
Do you think she would have re-joined if it wasn't for us being there?

I give up.

RE: What are you doing right now?
You would be really mad if I happened to say that I first heard of this forum through TMN, right? Eep. I'm sorry, its like the tabloids for the Sims world. It's like watching Real Housewives. You hate those people, but you never change the channel.... Sorry. Sad
Oh yeah, what am I doing? Why I uploaded a new house. Check it out if you're not too angry with me? Big Grin

RE: What are you doing right now?
Tabloids, yes. Heh. They're like a news paper and they write whatever they like/think/want things to appear at the public.
Their attitude is usually like 'Look, a cute baby fly on the wall! KILL IT WITH FIRE! D<'

And actually, it still wasn't Minty who brought me here. I remember that I posted a thread on Armandia Kingdom, BEFORE he made that post on the EA forums with the Challenge. My bad that my memory leaves me sometimes.

Take that, TMN! I have proof! Tongue

By lurking I meant coming here RARELY, like once in several months. I was busy on other parts of the internet so I had no idea what's been going on.

So far, so good, The Sollux Legacy that is on this forum, has a topic on the EA forums that links back into this forum. So, there is a possibility that a user might register here coming from there.

And Cororon: you can bring Switch in here also, because I know them too. Smile
