Special Features [Food]

        I think there should be mad cool feature in the sims 3 . For example especially breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and dessert. I would there to be able to people to set the table while like the mom cooks and she be able to cook dinner and dessert and drinks then all of them sit and eat . I would like it to take longer to cook so teenager could set the table. I would also like the children to help cook with there parents . So at the table there would be plates forks cups then dinner and dessert. It would also be cool if u pass around the food so everyone can take some. Then someone cleans up the table. In the kitchen i woudl liek sims to be able to have smoothie maker and be able to use pepper shakers.  I  think in the sims 2 the day is too short so it would be cool if 2hrs in the sims 3 would be 1 hr. What u think so they can have longer and not have to rush.

it would be pretty neat for at least some families to have a real sit down dinner where everyone helps out..but not every single family considering the personality traits in the game. but it would be fun for some families i agree.
and i think drinks should be included in the game as well.
and dessert should be more popular and snacks and such.

Two kids getting messy in the kitchen with mom trying to bake a cake would be adorable.

This idea sounds good but there are some flaws to it. Food felt like it already took long enough to make in TS2. Doing it like this thread proposes would take hours to pull off realistically. This would be a good idea for a dinner party where cooking usually takes many hours, but I think there should keep an option to cook like the previous game when you have to crunch on time.

very true i pointed that out before..
but this could be the long meal of the day just dinner..no other meal would need to be like that..and only certain families would do it..because hardly any families have sit down dinners like that.

Making smoothies sounds like tons of fun, especially if they don't place the lid on the blender firmly and it all cascades out and splatters both the kitchen and its inhabitants.

haha that goes back to the cake baking thing..that can get messy too if they arent good cooks!

The more I think about it the more I think this might actually work. This would be great for movie making (if it's still including in this game) and strengthening family ties which TS2 seemed to lack...
