Time spent building...

Hey guys-

Does anyone else feel that it will take forever to build a house with the new tools for customization? I do! I feel like I will be spending forever customizing and it will take forever to build the house.

i think they're are gonna be much better and more premade houses also with the better tools it should be less complicated to make a house so i think it will actually be easier.
(the hard part will be choosing the theme of the house...)

I agree BAT...building a house with me..takes b/w 2-3 hours..lol...I take my time with everything...and now that we can be more creative..I might just take 5 hours just to do one house..lol

But hey..im having fun and Im not rushing..you not the only one

yes i agree with the fact. it takes me forever to make
a house even now trying to decide what to put in it. {blink}

LOL..yes..It even takes a while to create a sim..lol..im jus a person who likes to take it slow..lol

Ok, glad it isn't just me!

I mean, right now it is pretty hard to make a house with all a theme. I like nice contemporary homes or big estates. It's hard to find the perfect things for those homes right now. That is why I am looking forward to being able to do whatever colors and themes I want!

I hate finding walls that work too! Hopefully we can make our own walls (I think we can). I like the stone/brick wall, but the ones in the game don't fit the way I like. Only one of them does, but I don't want a house with the same wall throughout the whole thing!

I know..I hated when my whole entirely house,,was basically the same..lol..all walls and floor carpets/tiles i really couldnt get to match anything..lol..I think you can create they walls..If you can create the floors..you mite as well can create the walls

i think it will be a lot easier. the thing that takes the longest in decorating/building a house is trying to find things that match and look good together. now i won't have to search anymore because i can just make them look the way i want. problem SOLVED.

plus small rooms will be able to fit more, and since furniture can be angled now awkward shaped rooms will still be functional.

in TS1 it took me so long to make houses because you had to think about so many things like them bumping into each other and then spending AN HOUR trying to get out of it. or rooms had to be huge because items had to be so far away from each other or there would be collisions. with TS2 this got better and with TS3 we'll be able to construct houses more like our own.

It should be a bit easier because if you took any random item you wanted. Say, a random table, chairs, and a couch, though they may lack freshness, you can just drag and drop the matching material and have an instant decorated living room.

It takes me much longer to decorate then it does in CAS.

Its just that by the time I've decorated to my liking, two or three hours have alerady gone by.
