My Theory On Why The Sims 3 Will Be Much Better And More Organised.
Because of the switchover from Maxis being the creators of the game, to EA being the creators of the game just before the pets expansion, the games have been getting more glitchier, etc, you all know the story of WE ALL HATE EA!

Well, not me. To me, the Ep's have been a lot better since EA took the lead, with the exclusion of pets, but they were just getting to grips of what the sims was like. Remember, they were almost new to the game back then. Think that the EP's will have the same quality with different people the first time, is like sending you to a new school, in which you don't know anyone there, and expecting you to fit in straightaway.

Even though people have dissed most of the EP's that EA have given us since pets, everyone has since pets, everyone has ended up liking them in the end. People HATED FT and AL when they were announced, but in the end, EVERYONE loved them, you have to admit it!

All of the bugs, glitches, etc are mostly blamable on the staff, but remember, SIMS 2 was originally WIll Wrights game. It got taken over by some other guy, and it will obviously not be the same style or quality. Going back to the schooly metaphoric thing, it's like having someone of a completely different level of intelligence and learning finish you science book.

All the programming, etc, obviously cannot be completely told to the new team. So they will obviously make some mistakes with that. The bugs and glitches are almost always becuase of old programming.

So, the point of this post is:

The Sims 3 Will be led by Rod Humble and Ben Bell. It will be their game, not anyone elses. they will have a fresh start, and will know everything there is to know about this game. I doubt any of the programmers can find sources to bugs and glitches beacuse it's not theirs.

I think The Sims 3 is a new hope to EA, a fresh start. Please, give them a chance. I highly doubt they will disappoint withe this generation.

Agree completely. {clap} But to be honest, I didn't really notice any difference to the quality of the eps. before and after Maxis. {blush}

Re: My Theory On Why The Sims 3 Will Be Much Better And More Organised.
I have always thought that EA and Maxis had joint control over the games...like when I pop in my games, both EA and Maxis popped up for credit on mine.  The official website is by Maxis...what it says in the google description...but when I looked on Wikipedia, EA owns Maxis. They bought Maxis, when it started failing, due to very unpopular games.

And here is other stuff I got off Wikipedia:

"The Sims 2: Pets expansion pack, the Maxis title has been omitted from the game's start. Also, up until The Sims 2: FreeTime, the logo of Maxis was used for a button in the Options panel of the game to display the credits. In FreeTime, the Maxis logo has been replaced by a symbol of the Sims plumbob. However, it appears briefly during the opening of their newest game, Spore, where the EA logo collapes into a black hole vortex which absorbs the Maxis logo and other game icons. It is uncertain if this is meant as a hidden reference to EA's acquisition behavior."

So the plumbob at the start of TS3 movies, if I am understanding this stands for Maxis.

As annoying and frustrating as the glitches may be, I don't think the game would be the same without them.  Besides, with so much involved in the games going on all around and all at the same time, it's going to be hard to hit on every single thing --- glitches are going to happen. It may be a Computer Program, but there were still HUMAN BEINGS behind it, making it. And humans make mistakes; it's a part of life.

Exactly. Glitches are inevitable. Especially with a game as customisable as the sims. (in how many other games do you get to make your own places?!?!)

And with the seamless neighbourhood, there's gonna be some more....

Yes, the patch aswell. That clears up most of the glitches, and the game is almost perfect!

(I say Almost perfect becuase patches can't clear up ALL glitches, obviously)

There are probably some bad glitches in the sims 2 people haven't noticed yet, becuase of unusual EP choreography.
