Sims look the same?

Am I the only one that feels that most sims look alike? to me the only thing that helps me differentiate between sims is their hair colour/style and clothes. {glare} This annoys me in TS2 there was much more variation amongst sims' looks imo

that's because there are sims like goopy and al-shawn cameron  {lol} I prefer to have kids who look alike rather than ugly babies  {yes} It was always quite hard to get a looker in the sims 2, in the sims 3 the pizza lady gave my not-so pretty not-ugly sim a good looking girl who is now a YA. So basicaly in my opinion the positives weigh out the negative

It is annoying but it's MUCHMUCHMUCH easier to find decent looking sims. Which is why I let it slide.

ITA, so many nicer looking premades now! THANK YOU EA, for at last using your eyes while making Sims. Instead of every Sim looking like they drove into a wall, they all look fairly normal/average, then there's a few pretty Sims and a few ugly Sims, pretty much like in the real world, which is what I wanted. I was sick of every premade being ugly. Now I can actually use them in my legacy without the offspring ending up looking like something out of the Addams family.

I think the reason they all look alike is because they all have fairly round faces and if you have the default skin, then that looks a little clay-ish. In CAS, Sims are more detailed and look different, however in the actual neighbourhood, the quality of them is decreased and this kind of makes them look similar, too. Try making some families with really distinct and diverse genes, stick 'em in the neighbourhood, let them reproduce and hopefully your neighbourhood will eventually get a few more various-looking Sims.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do with the Landgraabs. They have this sorta longish face that distinguishes them from the rest of the neighbourhood. So I'm trying to have all my offspring marry Landgraabs XD

I used a cheat to lower Malcolm's eyes and hes not so ugly. if you lower the eyes he's definitely worth gold digging XD

Yeah, they really do look alike, only if you look realllllyyyy closely when you can see the differences.

Ah well, at least our eyes aren't burning anymore.

I agree. The townies in nightlife were the only ones in TS2 that weren't horrifying. xD
