Woohoo (oops not in the sims kind of way...) Minecraft is awesome!!!

Came home from school annoyed as hell after my friend kept bragging about how great he is at tennis, but he's not much better then me and im getting put into "b" when he's in "a". Guess how he got there? He just talked to the damn instructor and then all of a sudden "im in A so im better then everyone"! How on earth did I become friends with him? But I guess you guys don't care much for me complaining my life.

That's what the General Discussion is for, so go right ahead. I think after my mention of my little "event" at work anything goes (actually I've a far worse story than that one!)

I've lost count the times I've saw the undeserving leapfrog over the deserving, and it's got a lot worse in the last twenty years I'd say. Patronage and cronyism is rampant, true ability and talent denigrated.

School teams have always been like that, though. Whether it be for power-tripping reasons, keeping on the right side of a parent with a lot of clout on the PTA or outside (like a local politician's kid), or plain old favouritism, the one lesson school teaches you is no matter how much they go on about exams, networking always beats merit.

There was a guy in the school football team who was dating one of the daughters of the coach so he never got dropped. The daughter had the attractiveness of a freshly laid turd, smelled roughly similar, and the personality of lettuce. After taking his final exam, he walked out of the hall and told her she was dumped, as he'd no more use for her.
