Have now stopped swearing at the computer for the night - Sims 3 looks gubbed again without any explanation why.

Was it a Virgin Pendolino train? They can reach some tip-top speeds, I can tell you.

No, it was one of the "Juniper" trains, the pride & joy of the fleet up here, famous for their hydraulic doors failing to work (mainly down to the cheap & wrong hydraulic oil used in them, but that's another tale to tell you all someday!) & engine faults. Built by Brummies, bought by idiots. Their maximum speed is meant to be 90mph, it was doing well beyond that.

Before going to bed last night, I defragged the drive & cleaned the reg. Tried again today, everything perfect. Since Uni, I've noticed this sort of annoyance a lot where doing a reg clean sorts it & cleaning the caches out sorts it. Don't know why it works, which is annoying in a way.

Yesterday, bucketing rain, very warm. Today clear blue skies, freezing. April is weird.

Testing that I can type with my industrial injury. Today a sharp bit on a metal file decided to drag itself along my hand, so now I have a laceration along my finger and across my palm. Super. It is not easy to dress a cut that is lengthwise along a finger. Especially when you look in the first aid box and find that it only contains some of the smallest plasters in the world and an eye patch. Yay - we can dress as pirates with eye patches but can do nothing to dress a wound. Good stuff! Good thing I'm not squeemish and was able to improvise.

Come to Australia and we'll get WorkSafe on the owners backside and sue them for doing the slightest thing wrong and even sue them for things they do right. Either way, in the end, you will have one ton of compensation.
